This Loaded Self Triggering Device means as soon as a fish takes your hookbait and turns to straighten your hooklink thus making contact with the weight of your lead or tension in your line, The Magic Twig will Trigger from its LOADED state to recoil and prick the fish quicker, causing an instant bolting reaction, more positive bites, creating an infinitely higher pick-up to hooked fish ratio, better hook holds and many more landed fish.

The Lead Clip Version is extremely easy to use, it compliments our OMC Pin Lead Clip that houses a Size 8 Swivel.

Pull into the Lead Clip, then quite simply connect your Hooklink to the Size 8 QC Swivel at the other end of The Magic Twig. 

Once extended and the arms fixed in the LOADED position simply fasten with PVA prior to long casting to stop the device unloading during casting long distances or with larger baits.

How to Choose The Right OMC Trigger Weight

**THE variations DO NOT DETERMINE what size of lead to use them with! Many factors like the Lakebed you’re fishing over, the size of fish, and of course lead size all need to be considered.** 

LIGHT - Triggered at 4.5oz 

This can be used with any lead size. From lighter options right up to 4.5oz or more. Also worth noting is that on some lake beds when you cast your weights will sink into the lake bed causing additional weight.

The 4.5oz “Triggered AT” means the amount of pressure needed (and the weight of retractable force back) from a stationary position at the hook end to release the spring mechanism and recoil with the 2nd anchor point being either your lead or lead + tension in your line. When using lighter leads, or Running Rigs - a quick build-up of tension will Trigger The Magic Twig to recoil giving a quick “prick” to the fish beyond what they would normally get with a conventional rig causing them to bolt quicker in the earliest parts of them picking up your rig. Resulting in more bites, faster bites & better hookholds! 

**Good for targeting carp/fish from single figures upwards**

MEDIUM - Triggered at 6.5oz

This can be used with any lead size. From lighter options right up to 6.5oz or more. The 6.5oz “Triggered AT” means the amount of pressure needed (and the weight of retractable force) from a stationary position at the hook end to release the spring mechanism and recoil with the 2nd anchor point being either your lead or lead + tension in your line. When using lighter leads, or Running Rigs - a quick build-up of tension will Trigger The Magic Twig to recoil giving a quick “prick” to the fish beyond what they would normally get with a conventional rig causing them to bolt quicker in the earliest parts of them picking up your rig. Resulting in more bites, faster bites & better hookholds! 

**Good for use with double-figure fish and bigger, also brilliant when using larger leads to drop from Bait Boats and Boats**

HEAVY - Triggered at 8.5oz

This can be used with any lead size. From lighter options right up to 10-12oz or more.

The 8.5oz “Triggered AT” means the amount of pressure needed (and the weight of retractable force) from a stationary position at the hook end to release the mechanism and recoil with the 2nd anchor point being either your lead or lead + tension in your line. When using lighter leads, or Running Rigs - a quick build-up of tension will Trigger The Magic Twig to recoil giving a quick “prick” to the fish beyond what they would normally get with a conventional rig causing them to bolt quicker in the earliest parts of them picking up your rig.

When using a HEAVIER lead that's higher than the stated Spring load, the device will Trigger at the point the Hooklink tightens and is about to reach the weight of the lead.

The short prick will result in more bites, faster bites & better hookholds!
